Remember that all investments carry risks. The results from this calculator should be used for reference only. Always consult with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

Use Cases

This calculator is particularly useful in the following situations:

  • Visualizing the compound effect for long-term investment planning
  • Comparing potential outcomes of different investment strategies
  • Calculating required return rates to achieve investment goals

According to statistics, investors who understand and utilize the compound effect tend to achieve 15-20% higher returns in the long run.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Simple interest generates returns only on the principal amount, while compound interest generates returns on both the principal and previously accumulated interest. This calculator uses the compound method to more accurately reflect real investment environments.

A 1% daily return translates to approximately 3,678% annually, which is extremely high for typical investments. Sustainable daily returns usually range from 0.02% to 0.05% over the long term. It's important to maintain realistic expectations when inputting high return rates.

This calculator does not automatically account for taxes and fees. For more accurate projections, you should manually deduct trading fees (typically 0.1-0.5%) and taxes (varies by country) from the expected returns.

If you have a target amount, initial investment, and investment period, you can try different return rates to find the one that gets closest to your goal. In future updates, we plan to add a feature that automatically calculates the required return rate based on your target amount.

This calculator treats all entered days as trading days. In real investments, trading doesn't occur on weekends and holidays, so for more accurate calculations, you should consider the actual number of trading days. Typically, there are about 250 trading days in a year.
